From the curatorial statement
"Undercurrent" by Luca Smith and "A Different Kind of Time" by Justin Keep are two documentary works that look at vastly different nests of South African life -- within the former, the harsh, bare experience of the Western Cape's fishing industry, and within the latter, the current landscape of our unendingly blooming drone music scene -- and yet both share one particular lens in which they view their two subjects: insight into the mechanical processes of both practises, and a collection of ruminations straight from the mouths of their respective practitioners.
