Passion. Know what you love and let it kill you. That's the biggest point of departure I derived from The Wind Rises. Jiro Horikoshi is an aerospace engineer with a genuine love for building beautiful planes. The flick is based in pre-world war 2 Japan. Jiro builds military planes for the Japanese government and eventually builds a masterful aircraft. He falls in love and it sprouts into the most incredibly beautiful love affair. They fight for each other through hardship and turmoil. The movie is very wholesome but it is not a bowl of corn. It's an easy 2 hour movie and worth a second watch.
